looking to volunteer?
we are expanding our team of volunteers
If you’re a Christian with a heart to serve, access to a car, five hours a week to give, and weekend availability - this could be where your faith and compassion meet real need.
We provide full training, a team uniform, and ongoing support. The process takes around three months and combines classroom learning with hands-on mentoring. You’ll never be on shift alone - new chaplains are always paired with experienced team members, and we offer regular supervision and after-care to support you in the role.

Please note: this volunteer role is open to Christians who can actively reflect the ethos of the Beachy Head Chaplaincy and demonstrate a personal Christian faith.

Being a chaplain at Beachy Head is a profound and rewarding calling. Our chaplains stand alongside people in moments of deep crisis - offering connection, presence, and compassion when it matters most. It’s also a sacred responsibility: to represent the love and concern of the families, friends, and communities who can't be there themselves.
