BHCT will be training some new recruits beginning in October. Welcome to trainees Mike, Mike, Nicky and Bill. The updated training course begins in early October and runs through to early December. The course consists of 35 hours of theory and practical training held  within a training room environment on Tuesday evenings, alongside 2 months of on the job training at Beachy Head (1 duty a week) and a day of  search exercises. Once qualified, trainees complete a 3 month probationary period before becoming fully operational.

There is still time to apply! We are still interviewing people for the upcoming training, so if you are interested give us a ring (the contact info is on our website) and we will send out an application pack to you. As a Christian Chaplaincy prospective member, you will need to be an active member of a church, who has been a Christian for at least a year.  Once we have recieved  your application we will contact your minister for a reference and then you will be asked to attend an interview. This is a very informal meeting where you can assess our suitability and we can assess yours!
